Area Board Meetings
The law requires the area board to meet at least six times per year, though more frequent meetings may be called when necessary. Traditionally, the SEC Area Board does not meet in January or July. Area Board meetings are open to the public and held the fourth Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m., rotating locations between the three counties. In Brunswick County at the Governmental Complex, Bolivia, Building M upstairs conference room; in New Hanover County at Southeastern Center, 2023 S. 17th St.; and Pender County at the N.C. Agriculture Building Auditorium, 801 S. Walker St., Burgaw.
