The Permanent Supportive Housing Coalition meets the third Tuesday of every month at 1:30pm at Southeastern Center, 2023 South 17th Street. Community Support workers can present their consumer(s) to representatives of the permanent supportive housing complexes in this area. The Coalition will make recommendations for your consumer. This meeting is also an excellent opportunity for networking and learning more about housing options in our area. To present a consumer, please call Catrecia McCoy Bowman, Housing Specialist, at 910-332-6848 to let her know how many consumers you will be presenting, or for more information. The State Mental Health budget this year includes funding for 400 units of Permanent Supportive Housing for disabled individuals. Any developer or organization interested in finding out how to access these funds to build affordable permanent supportive housing in our area, or just to get more information, please contact Catrecia McCoy Bowman, Housing Specialist, at 910-332-6848. |
