Wanted: Consumers and Family Members
Center for MH/DD/SA has an established Consumer and Family Advisory Committee (CFAC). This Committee consists of consumers and family members from our three (3) client service areas, i.e., mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse, and from the three (3) counties served by SEC; i.e., Brunswick, New Hanover and Pender counties. The CFAC has an active role throughout the planning, development and implementation of SEC as a Local Management Entity. The CFAC will:
- Offer recommendations on areas of service eligibility and service array, including identifying gaps in services.
- Assist in the identification of under-serviced populations.
- Provide advice and consultation regarding development of additional services and new models of service.
- Participate in monitoring service development and delivery.
- Review and comment on the state and local service budgets.
- Observe and report on the implementation of state and local business plans.
- Participate in all quality improvement measures and performance indicators.
- Ensure consumer and family participation in all quality improvement projects at both the provider and LME levels.
Meeting Schedule
The CFAC meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at Southeastern Center, 2023 S. 17th St., Wilmington.
