Crisis Intervention Team welcomes 13 new officers

On February 3, 2012 thirteen officers joined the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT).  These officers, representing four local agencies, had 40-hours of training before joining CIT.  During this training officers were taught the signs of mental illness, de-escalation, and were provided resources to connect those experiencing a crisis to treatment.  Should you or a family member require 9-1-1 due to a mental health crisis, ask for a CIT officer.  Read more.
